 WEEKEND ||

I'm headed home for another Yoga Weekend. My heart is so full with anticipation to see the women who have inspired me to walk in my truth and be all that I am. I am so blessed to have my Kuhla -- Sanskrit for close community. I'll probably be flipping myself upside down into inversions and sharing all that I have to share until my heart is content. Can't wait.

Life is about sharing what you love to all those around you, building a beautiful community filled with likeminded individuals that encourage growth and inspiration and creation. I haven't perfected this life by any means, but I respect the transitions and vibrations that get me closer and closer to this ideal. I think we often need to step back and reevaluate the energies surrounding us. If we are encompassing our passions with unsupportive people, we may lack the energy, desire, and spirit to continue with our dreams. These relationships do not need to be ended, just appreciated for what they bring to the table -- maybe cutting off the relationship isn't wise, be it a family member or someone always present in your life, so devoting less energy to this person is key. Or maybe you do cut out that relationship, accepting that as you grow, you will naturally vibrate those away from you with a different intention.

Because the other option is to lower down to their level, encouraging their lack of support, and believing you might not be good enough. But that leads to nothing productive and a lesser version than the glorious being you are meant to be on this Divine Planet Earth. Let your heart shine, accept the changes this evokes, and move forward with your best intentions, knowing it only gets better when you believe in your personal Truth.

If you could do anything to make your heart sing, what would this be? What are you up to this weekend?

Loved this article on emailing. In this day in age, it's easy to get caught up.

Mark Zuckerberg on success. I won't lie, his optimism is catching.

Because we're all trying to be adults here.

Cartoon puppies of the world. More like swelling my heart.

It wouldn't be my kind of Halloween time without a little pumpkin decorating.

Just for teething babies? Nope. Gonna go make these ice cube pops -- how pretty would these be with some fruit inside?

These pictures were too beautiful not to share... The Historic Underground Railroad at Night.

Have a safe and happy weekend. Explore, love, hope, and be yourself.

 WEEKEND ||

I cannot believe it's October already! It's time for pumpkin patches and apple picking and Halloween thinking. I might be a pineapple this year --- you think I'm kidding ;-). I'm excited this weekend isn't supposed to be too warm. I love wrapping myself in sweaters or layers and feeling a slight bite in the air -- not quite cold but definitely not warm. Ah, this is just my favorite time of the year. It feels like the world makes sense, the leaves all know what they're doing and the animals have all set out on a mission, everyone is trying to find a safe home and love. Kind of like the rest of us.

It is so magical out there. I encourage you to explore, sit and be still, and just enjoy what this beautiful, divine Earth brings forth. You are deserving of this peace and solitude. You are worthy.

But until you do that, have a look at these amazing links...

What is your favorite season? What are you up to this weekend?

WEEKEND ||

Sometimes I feel like Friday can’t get here soon enough, but then when it finally does, I become anxious of whether or not I’ll get everything checked off my list over the weekend. Seems to me like it’s time to turn in, slow down, and prioritize. I'm finding I've put great emphasis on things that are not important and not enough emphasis on what is meaningful for me. I’m not living any life other than my own, so why do I prioritize according to the expectations of others? Of course, I prioritize my classwork and committee obligations first, but who is to say I can’t enjoy every single facet of my day, even if they are exhausting, simply because I am doing what I love?

This weekend I am turning in, unplugging my computer for a while, and sitting with myself to figure out what I want to do with my life – how I want to feel fulfilled and amazed with each passing day. Time to start dreaming. Other than that, I’ll be working on some art projects, this beautiful little blog, and spending quality time with my bed and some movies.

Do you ever feel that way about how you prioritize? What are you up to this weekend?

A guy and his dog – makes my heart swell three sizes too big.

I’d love to experiment a gluten free version of this beautiful bread.

A to-do list to start appreciating yourself and all that you are in this world.

This is a biggie: life’s purpose and how to figure out your own.

What it’s like to work from your bed. Made me laugh out loud. So true.

If I ever have the pleasure of working with someone, I plan on being the best boss possible.

Funny how we forget that everyone wakes up and has to put their pants on one leg at a time, no matter how famous or amazing.

Have a safe and happy weekend. It’s almost October, can you believe it? Find time to sit with yourself this weekend and find the love and graciousness that flows through you.
