 WEEKEND ||

My first favorite f word is ... fun! Haha can't fool you! What is new and good with all of you? I've gotten to play around with my essential oils as I conquer a cold, pack my mind full of information for my two tests today, and sneak in a dinner with a friend. I graduated with my kula last week! Wow. I had professional photos done, and they look amazing. I can't wait to save them, and put them up all over the place. This weekend I'll be working on an art project -- replicating a Van Gogh for class... yeah it's an adventure; binge watching tv thanks to this cold weather, my own cold, and a cozy bed; and I'm thinking this weekend needs to be restorative. Not much else to say today -- this week has been a lot of studying and very little anything else. I'm sure we all have those weeks.

Until Monday.. enjoy the quick links, loves.

How are you spending the weekend?

Kick the Weekend Off Right|| Friday Finds || 11.7.14

 WEEKEND || FIRST WEEKEND OF NOVEMBER

How has everyone's week been going? Has it been triumphant? Sad? Lazy? Comfortable? Peaceful? Exciting? Our weeks are what we make them -- I could say I've had an exhausting week, that work has somehow gotten away from me, and I feel behind, or I can focus on the good, like how I've protected a friend, spent my week living instead of being routine, made a careless purchase that felt so good, ate too much ice cream and too many chips and felt fantastic. I could say I've woken up late every day this week, or I could recognize that my nights were significantly later, and my body was praying that I'd let it sleep a little longer. I could say a lot of negative things, but what good does that do for my life? All it does is beget more negativity. So I will find the joy and the laughter and the beauty in sadness that kisses my nose and says this is why life is worth living.

This weekend I'm headed back home for my final yoga training weekend! Oh my gosh, I cannot (!) believe it's already been eight months with these incredible women. Such light, such transformation, amazing. I'll be catching up on playtime with my baby dog, Dellie while the new puppy jumps all over her --wish I could bring them back withe me to school -- and maybe catch up on some TV or Sunday night football! Woo! Love the weekend.

How is your attitude towards life these days? How are you spending the weekend?

Boo! It's Halloween || Friday Finds

WEEKEND || HALLOWEEN + BIRTHDAY

I cannot believe it's Halloween already -- my favorite time of the year!!! I'm being a pineapple tonight -- inspired by the picture above. Fun right? What are you being tonight? This week was pure dedication for me; there were exams, interesting posts, pictures to edit, fun things to share, and a need for love and exploration and adventure. Busy! But now tomorrow is my birthday -- as you can read on the countdown to the right, and it is such an interesting pace and mind that I leave my teens and head into my twenties. Wow. It still shocks me to say that. It isn't as if the number is scary, but the monumental jump to true adulthood is gratifying and humbling. The feeling is pretty darn cool. Next week I'll be throwing a little post out there about age and turning twenty, but I also wanted to touch on the blog's posts this week. The How To three part productivity series kicked off on Tuesday: Part I + Part II + Part III. And yesterday I compared quick and easy Caramel recipes for your tastebuds -- I hope you enjoy! Lastly, but for me, most importantly, I wrote on the peace that can be found in gratitude, and I think as we rush ourselves into the holiday season and begin to lose touch with what true graciousness means, we need to come back to center and refocus on what it means to be filled with humbling attitude and peace. I hope you found this week's posts to be encouraging, freeing, and yummy. If you have any ideas for content you'd like to see on the blog, let me here em! Love you all -- have an amazing weekend xx
